The DHC-6 Twin Otter is a 19-passenger STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) utility aircraft developed by de Havilland Canada. Due to its high rate of climb and STOL abilities this twin aircraft is perfect for cargo, regional passenger, commercial skydiving  and MEDEVAC operations. Ellesmere Island is  the world’s tenth largest island and Canada’s third largest island. This large mountainous island is part of the Qikiqtaaluk Region of the Canadian territory of Nunavut.
